Overview
-
Opportunity
During my time at Prime Digital Academy I was given the opportunity to redesign a new welcome gift for incoming Full Stack Students.
The objective was to create a meaningful gift that was practical and usable for Full Stack Students. This allowed me to work through the entire design process.

Heuristic Evaluation
A small team of evaluators where created to preform a heuristic evaluation of the previous welcome gift for full stack students at Prime, a water bottle. The team examined the gifts interface and judged its compliance with recognizable usability principles. This is also known as “The Heuristics.”

Participant Observation
To understand the Full Stack Students I performed an AEIOU Observation. The framework allowed me to clearly document information about students under a guiding taxonomy of Activities, Environments, Interactions, Objects, and Users.
Design Concepts
Low Fidelity Prototype
The Prime Time watch was created using a mix of found materials found at a local art studio space in Minneapolis, MN, Called Leonardos Basement.
Evaluation Plan
Direct Storytelling and Participant Design methods where used to better understand how Full Stack Students feel about the Prime Time digital watch.
