Cognitive Walkthrough & Contextual Inquiry

Findings, Revisions and Interactive Prototype

Strike Graph offers an easy, flexible security compliance solution that scales efficiently with your business needs — from SOC 2 to ISO 27001 to GDPR and beyond.

Client Work

Opportunity

My UX design team and I had the opportunity to evaluate Strike Graphs’ existing website with a cognitive walkthrough and conduct a contextual inquiry interview with recent customers and employees of Strike Graph. The findings from both methods where gathered and each member of the design team took a different approach on opportunity areas and redesigned an interactive prototype individually.

Program & Tools

Cognitive Walkthrough

My UX Design team and I worked together to create a set of task-based usability interactions with Strike Graph website. Each task flow was tested and evaluated by a set of prescribed questions with the goal to identify pain points and areas of opportunity to serve the needs of a new user.

Contextual Inquiry

My UX Design team and I worked together to create a script for are contextual inquiry interviews that where held remotely via Zoom. Each team member was designed a role: facilitator, observer, tech hand and behavioral observations.

Data Synthesis

My UX Design team and I worked together to gather notes and observations from the cognitive walkthrough and contextual inquiry using FigJam. I individually crafted the layout of the FigJam for my team to easily record their findings.

Strike Graphs Future Goals:

  • Currently, product onboarding and compliance education exist primarily outside of the app with dedicated customer service reps. Strike Graph would like to reduce the hand-holding required by their Customer Success team to help their users complete their required tasks and understand how to use the product.

  • Broaden the appeal of Strike Graph to target medium and large-sized enterprise customers and gain market share in those upstream markets.
